DNR LogoDNR Staff Photo/Video Upload Links

This page is intended for DNR staff to upload DNR related photos and videos to the DNR photo gallery. When you upload your images/videos you are saying that they are yours and that the DNR has the right to use them for any DNR related project or promotion as well as to redistribute them. More info on that may be found elsewhere on the page.

After the administrator ensures images are properly sorted they will appear on a public facing photo gallery.

How does it work?

Upload your photos here.

Detailed Upload Instructions

  1. Click the upload link.

  2. In the page that opens, click Upload Files, browse to the file(s) that you want to upload, select them (you can select more than one) and click the Open button.

  3. In the new dialog that opens there are four fields, two of them are required, Description and Tags, and two are optional, Keywords and Author.

    • Description: give us a good description of your image(s).  If you're doing a bunch of images at once, they'll all get the same description.

    • Keywords: these are preset, you just choose from a list.  They can be used to help filter a search once they're in place.

    • Tags: these are important, tag your images with words that match the content, like sunrise, campground, firepit, etc.  If the picnic table is way off in the background, don't tag it, just things that make up the subject of the photo.

    • Author: whoever took the photos, their name goes here. It's for historical purposes.

  4. Click Apply and the images will upload. If it takes forever to upload try disconnecting from the SOM VPN (if you are connected) and just wait until the upload is done to see if there are any errors.

  5. When done uploading, the images will disappear and it will look like nothing happened.  That's good!  Success.
