This page is intended for DNR staff to upload DNR related photos and videos to the DNR photo gallery. When you upload your images/videos you are saying that they are yours and that the DNR has the right to use them for any DNR related project or promotion as well as to redistribute them. More info on that may be found elsewhere on the page.
After the administrator ensures images are properly sorted they will appear on a public facing photo gallery.
How does it work?
Use the link below to upload your images or videos.
You'll need to tag them when you upload them, so do them in batches. For instance, all the salmon pictures in one upload, and then all the brook trout in another, etc.
Please don't tag all of your images “lamprey” just because one of them contains a lamprey. (We're using lamprey as an example here.)
Upload the lamprey image separately and tag it then. Those lamprey pictures with no lampreys in them are "false positives"—they pop up in your search even though they're not what you're looking for. This makes it harder to find the actual lamprey pictures you need. So, it's important to tag images correctly with what's really in them!
By uploading images or videos, you are representing that you have rights and permissions to use these images and to give the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) rights and permission to display these images for marketing and informational purposes with regards to any and all DNR related matters. Documentation to show proof of these rights and permissions is to be presented to the DNR upon request.
You further agree to indemnify and hold the DNR, their employees, agents, officers, directors, successors, licensees and assigns (together, the Indemnified Parties) harmless against any liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) Indemnified Parties may incur as a result of claims and/or proceedings relating to the use of the images uploaded.
