Payment Units are polygons describing a specific area of land associated with a State Timber Sale Contract.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>A State Timber Sale Contract is divided into one of more Payment Unit. Before harvesting can begin in that portion of the contract, full payment must be made. Contracts are divided into Payment Units to provide timber purchasers the opportunity to pay for portions of the contract as they go, instead of paying the entire amount of the contract up front. These areas are normally marked on the ground and shown on the Timber Sale Map.</SPAN></SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
