The planned park enhancements – road paving and electrical upgrades – have been completed. As a result, camping reservations beginning May 1, 2025 and later will become available in the reservation system at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28. A proposed $3.1 million in federal relief funding from Gov. Whitmer's Building Michigan Together Plan made these and other renovations possible.

The campground, set along Sand Lake, includes a designated swimming beach and playscape. The sites are moderate in size. There is 30- or 50-amp electrical service and a sanitation station.

Concession/ Store

Concession/ Store: Firewood and ice are available for sale at the campground office.

Electrical Service

Electrical Service: All sites have either 30- or 50-amp service.

Modern Restrooms

Modern Restrooms: A modern toilet and shower building features five showers, an accessible family restroom (changing table, accessible toilet and shower) and restroom facilities.

Playground

Playground: There is a small playscape between sites #33 and #34.

Sanitation Station

Sanitation Station:

The park’s sanitation station is located in the modern campground. There is potable water available and two lanes.

The Seven Lakes and Pontiac Lake sanitation stations are closed to noncampers. The septic system cannot handle additional pressure and could fail if capacity is overloaded. The nearest sanitation stations are located at Metamora-Hadley (expect long lines on Sundays), Holly and Proud Lake recreation areas. Campers must present a camping permit that expired within the last 24 hours or the $10 sanitation station use fee will be applied.
