The
Fisheries Division Library, located at the Institute for Fisheries Research,
was established in 1930 to service the fisheries biologists of the Michigan
Department of Conservation. The library now serves the fisheries biologists
of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and also University of Michigan
faculty, staff, and students of the School of Natural Resources and Environment
and the Exhibit Museum of Natural History. The collection now consists of
over 700 books, thousands of reports and reprints from around the world,
and several journal, magazine, and newsletter subscriptions. |

Fisheries Management/Special Reports are substantial reports that deal with current topics of concern to the Division and of general interest to other agencies and the public. In 1990 the series title was changed from Fisheries Management Report to Fisheries Special Report. Flint River and Huron River Assessments now available. | |

Status of the Fishery Resource Reports contain the results of major fisheries surveys of Michigan lakes and rivers. Each report briefly describes the environment, the fishery resource and the management direction for the water body. Tables summarize information on the fish species found. Fisheries Division Reprints are copies of articles written by Fisheries Division staff that have been printed in journals, magazines, or the publications of other institutions i.e., Great Lakes Fishery Commission. Free Acrobat Reader required view or print these lists. | ||
